I, Marquis Geraldine Queen (he/they), I’m a queer Black human1 who is a writer and editor of short stories, essays, and some time soon, books! I enjoy exploring the many undisturbed nooks and crannies of human history and psyche to find where and how the walls we’ve built around us are connected.
I also am a writer who knows how difficult it can be to make time to write, an editor who knows how hard it is to polish your manuscript, and a peer coach who understands how hard writing is to do without sustained, intentional support.
I founded Acquainted Muse to give authors the most overlooked ingredient needed for success: companionship. I work to bring out the best in each writer and their manuscript by tapping into the unique strengths of their story with a personalized plan.
